5G is coming soon to India in 2022
This news is even more exciting than Vicky Kausal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding celebrations, move over 4G, your big brother 5G is coming soon. Our Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has made an official announcement. Now, before you ask your parents for a new smartphone or check if your smartphone even supports 5G, let’s make a few points crystal clear.
Vickat’s pre-wedding bash was way cooler than anyone imagined, just kidding!
Firstly, 13 cities will get 5G services, you really don’t want to know the names of all but it’s easy as A (Ahmedabad) B (Bangalore) C (Chandigarh/Chennai) D (Delhi), wait, there are more. Our financial capital (Mumbai) and a few others. Even though we’ve made it easy for you to remember – (at Curious Times we’re cool like that!) -, don’t memories the cities! Why? Well, who knows, plans might change.
Secondly, whether you are using Jio or Airtel or you have no idea how come you watch the latest episode of Squid Game on your cellphone with so much ease, that’s fine as well. We don’t know which mobile operator is going to be supporting 5G services, whoever it is, it is going to be a “smooth operator”.
You might also wonder, what’s so cool about 5G? Well, you just might get to buy a new smartphone :-). Think of 5G as faster, better and efficient!
Faster – so you can make Insta reels, get Insta likes and become insta-cool!
Better – brush your teeth, watch Youtube shorts and download movies and chat (using one hand) with strangers – all at the same time!!
Efficient – as you brag about your screen size and show the coolest movie to your friends, your connection will not disappoint you, or at least that’s our hope.
So, like most of the good things in life, we need to wait and see how the 5G plays out. In the meanwhile, its Sunday – did you pack your bags for Monday as yet 😉
