A man survives 18 hours at sea holding a soccer ball!

A man from North Macedonia survived 18 hours on the sea. He clung to a soccer ball that floated toward him while trying to survive in the water.  Ivan, the man is 30 years old and he was vacationing at Myti Beach in Kassandra, Greece and he got swept away by strong currents.

He clung to a small soccer ball lost by two youngsters 10 days before Ivan came there. Though the ball was running out of air, Ivan utilized the ball to breathe and stay floating.

Ivan was rescued by the Greek Coast Guard and is released from the hospital as well. Ivan’s photo with the ball, his parents and the mayor of Kassandra is shared widely on the internet.
