Bastille Day celebrations in Paris, FranceThe French National day is celebrated on July 14.

It is commonly known as Bastille Day and officially as La Fête Nationale.
 	It was celebrated on the Champs-Elysees avenue in Paris on Sunday.
 	Members of the armed forces marched down the avenue as part of the traditional celebrations.
 	French President Emmanuel Macron, along with other world leaders, participated in the celebration.
 	Later, a spectacular fireworks show at the Eiffel Tower lit up the night sky.

Flyboard Air

The parade also saw a flypast on a futuristic fly-board.
 	Franky Zapata , a French inventor and entrepreneur, piloted the "Flyboard Air".
 	The jet-powered aerial vehicle dazzled the crowds.

Yellow vest protesters

After the parade, people were shocked to see police clash with "yellow vest protestors".
 	"Yellow vest" protesters have been complaining against an increase in fuel taxes since October 2018.
 	Groups of protesters dragged metal barriers into the center of the Champs-Elysées and set fire to bins.
