Kottu roti is a famous Sri Lankan street food. It is a delicious mix of roti, vegetables, spices and meat. It’s an undeniable fact that you can’t leave Sri Lanka without trying it.

How  to make kottu roti ?

  • The main ingredients are godhamba roti (wheat bread), eggs, vegetables, herbs, spices and curry.
  • All these are chopped and mixed together on a hot plate using traditional kottu knives.
  • The sound of chopping blades is rhythmic in nature. Some street vendors even have signature beats which make their shops popular.
