The government decides to build electric vehicle charging stations

We have already read that electric buses have been launched in Delhi. Now, the government has announced to build electric vehicle charging stations. Let’s see what it is about?

What are electric vehicles?

Electric vehicles(EV) are the vehicles that are partially or fully powered by electric power.

The government in the capital city of India has decided to build electric vehicle charging stations at all government offices. The electric vehicle charging stations will be ready in the next three months.

Electric vehicle charging stations

The Delhi government has instructed all its departments, meaning all the autonomous local bodies to identify all the locations and install the electric charging stations.

Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said that Rs 6,000 will be charged per electric vehicle charging station. Electric vehicles are being promoted throughout Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the charging stations will be installed in all the government offices. Not only the government employees but the general public will also be able to charge their vehicles at the stations.

The Delhi transport department has issued an Electric vehicle guidebook. This guidebook will help the users to learn about the charging needs of the vehicles.

So, this is a step ahead towards the development. Have you observed any such development? If yes, let us know in the comments below.
