India’s poorest 10% face much higher air pollution than the richA recent study has revealed stated that 10% of India's poorest population face 9 times more pollution than the 10% of India's richest population.

In India, and around the world, the number of deaths has increased due to pollution, specifically air pollution.

All the above-stated reasons are the origins of health problems.

Previous research has also stated that rich individuals are also responsible for air pollution because of their luxurious lifestyles.

Here are two ways we can reduce air pollution:

1. Clean technology to be provided to all the polluting sources

2. Fuel stoves to be replaced by electric stoves

Researchers from the US and Europe wanted to know how income affects pollution in the second-most populous country in the world (India). They examined data expenditure for different people to find how money is related to pollution exposure. The study revealed that rich people are responsible for excessive air pollution while the poorest people are most affected by the same.
