By beating the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 62 runs on May 10, the Gujarat Titans (GT) became the first team in the IPL 2022 to make the playoffs.
At the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the DY Patil Stadium, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat the Mumbai Indians (MI) by 52 runs.
On the points table, Gujrat Titans are in the first place in the IPL 2022. Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are in second and third place, respectively.
Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians!
Pat Cummins took three wickets to guide Kolkata Knight Riders to a comprehensive victory against Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians lost skipper Rohit Sharma’s wicket early in the innings when the right-handed batter was caught behind Tim Southee’s bowling.
Ishan Kishan was on the move, as he had three fours at the top of the rankings after four overs. After four overs, Mumbai Indians had a 26-1 lead and were chasing 166 for the win.
In the 15th over, Pat Cummins took three important wickets, including Ramandeep Singh. He was caught at a backward point by Andre Russell. Shakib Al Hasan took three wickets in the 18th over to dismiss Sheldon Jackson, Pat Cummins, and Sunil Narine.
In the last over, Rinku Singh hit a six, but Mumbai Indians lost their ninth wicket when Daniel Sams holed out to deep mid-wicket.
Gujrat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants!
An undefeated half-century by Shubman Gill, as well as Rashid Khan’s sensational four-wicket haul, ensured Gujrat Titan’s qualification for the playoffs following a massive 62-run victory. The Lucknow Super Giants openers – KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock – got off to a cautious start with the bat as they attempted to chase down 145 runs for the win.
Sai Kishore took his second wicket to dismiss Mohsin Khan, and Rashid Khan finished off the innings by taking the final two wickets in the 14th over to bring the game to a close.
After Hardik Pandya was caught behind by Avesh Khan, who took his second wicket of the game, Hardik Pandya was the next batter to be dismissed. Gujrat Titan trailed by 59-3 during the halfway point of the game.
