IPL 2022 Update, 17-April!

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

It was yet another showdown in the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022) when Mumbai Indians faced Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals faced Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Mumbai Indians fell to their sixth straight defeat of the season in the opening game of the day, while the Lucknow Super Giants won their fourth straight match. In the second game, the Delhi Capitals were beaten by Royal Challengers Bangalore by 16 runs.

Mumbai Indians are at the bottom of the points table, even though they won. The Royal Challengers Bangalore moved up to 3rd place on the list. Gujrat Titans hold the top position.

Mumbai Indians vs Lucknow Super Giants!

KL Rahul’s third IPL century in his 100th IPL game helped the Lucknow Super Giants to a whopping 199 in the first innings. Lucknow Super Giants got off to a fast start thanks to KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock, who put up 50 runs in just over an hour. A 70-plus partnership between Manish Pandey and KL Rahul after de Kock’s departure set the stage for a strong finish.

Mumba Indians lost a lot of runs in the middle overs. They didn’t get off to a good start in their chase. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan both got out cheaply. The batters couldn’t seem to get going. Even Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav, who have been playing well in the tournament so far, had a hard time getting the ball in the middle. Finally, Mumbai Indians came up short by 18 runs in IPL 2022.

Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore!

The Royal Challengers Bangalore team struggled, losing three quick wickets for 40 runs until Glenn Maxwell’s 55 from 34 balls helped right the ship. After Maxwell was dismissed, Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik formed a 90-plus-run partnership, which helped Royal Challengers Bangalore reach 189 at the end of their 20 overs.

Prithvi Shaw and David Warner helped Delhi Capitals get off to a good start in their chase. Afterwards, Mitchell Marsh’s first game of the season didn’t go well for him. There was a chance that Rishabh would take the game away from Royal Challengers Bangalore. Virat Kohli made a great catch to end his innings. It was then all over Delhi Capitals.
