National Startup Day – Jan 16

Economy’s backbone

Our honourable Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has declared January 16, 2022, as a “National Startup Day”. One cannot underestimate the power of startups. At Curious Times we think about it as an “opportunity”. We get a lot of confidence and positivity in our own belief system as we celebrate this day with our little munchkins.  When as a country we strive towards digital innovation, trillion-dollar economy it feels fantastic and amazing.

Startups + Pandemic = Hope

Could we have imagined how each one of us as a citizen went through our daily challenges during the pandemic? If it had not been for PayTM or Swiggy or Zomato or Big Basket or countless other apps that made it possible to carry forward the day to day transactions! If one thinks about it, these business ideas are startups and have been a blessing in disguise to each and every one of us.

What are we going to do on Startup Day?

Firstly, it is a fantastic idea that this day encourages the youth and every citizen to think like a startup. Not just this day but it should be a recurring thought every day for each one of us. The journey has just begun and each day is a brand new day. As startups, we now have more than 50000 a number which was below 500 a few years back.

Secondly, making its footprints felt across varied industries, the space offers the opportunity to each and every one of us. No idea is dumb and needs to experiment in the market.

So, it would be great if our little readers took away positivity, hope and continue to work harder on their aspirations. In the end, it is you (our little readers) and the youth that will take our country forward in the path of prosperity and towards an exciting future.
