Naughty Wally the Walrus

Do you know what is a walrus? It is a large sea animal with flippers and tusks. Walruses are usually found in the Arctic Ocean.

Recently, a walrus swam thousands of kilometres to reach Wales (in the UK) from the Arctic.

This walrus has been named Wally, after a famous cartoon character. Since arriving in Wales, Wally the Walrus has become very famous. People have seen it swimming around, showing off its belly and even waving to cameras.

It is also very naughty. Recently, it even tried to come on board a fishing boat. But, since it is so heavy, the boat got overturned. Thankfully, the boat was empty.

Keeping a check on Wally the Walrus

Animal lovers are keeping a check on Wally, to make sure it is okay. They are not sure if Wally is female or male. But it seems to be young and is about the size of a cow.
