Robin Hood Army (RHA) an organisation run by volunteers provides the 100 millionth meal. They do so without donations. The organisation believes that nobody should starve from hunger.

This belief serves as the foundation of their #Mission75 initiative. The initiative was launched on the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

  • The “volunteer-based zero-fund” organisation provides between 1.5 and 2 million meals on a monthly basis.
  • The organisation has centres in the countries like Bangladesh, Africa, and Pakistan.
  • A lot of food gets wasted if not consumed at events such as weddings. The organisation collects such meals and channels them to the needy.
  • People who are aware of the Robin Hood Army happily donate the leftover food to them.
  • RHA was also selected as a case study for the full-time MBA programme at Harvard University.
  • Volunteers commit and participate in RHA events in their spare time.
  • The organisation also comes forward during natural disasters such as drought to help the affected people.
  • They have also been fairly active during the flooding in Kerala and Assam to distribute supplies such as food, medication, and clothing.
