Samantha Cristoforetti creates TikTok video in space

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

Samantha Cristoforetti has created a TikTok video of space on the International Space Station.

Samantha Cristoforetti is an astronaut from European Space Agency (ESA). She posted the first TikTok video from space on her Instagram account.

Cristoforetti landed on the orbiting lab for a six-month stay on April 27.

What’s in the video?

Samantha Cristoforetti’s second space flight began with the launch of SpaceX‘s Crew-4 mission. After landing on the ISS, she recorded her first TikTok video, in which she takes the viewers through Crew-4’s launch. The video introduces the viewers to the mission’s two zero-g indicators and a toy monkey named Etta. She shared the space station view and said that the first few days of SpaceX’s Crew-4 mission have been hectic.

The astronaut is further seen explaining the meaning of the word Etta. It is short for scimmietta, which means a little monkey.

You can watch the video below as posted by Samantha Cristoforetti on Twitter.

Since the time the video is posted, it has gained around 209K views. Isn’t that interesting?
