Sun’s solar wind produces ‘song’ on hitting Earth’s magnetic fieldStudies by the ESA (European Space Agency) has shown that when solar winds from the Sun hit the Earth’s magnetic field, a unique ‘song’ is produced.

Solar winds are a stream of particles which are released from the Sun during a solar storm. These hit the Earth and anything else in its path.
 	The Earth’s magnetic field generates waves after being hit by solar winds.
 	These electromagnetic waves are turned into a 'song' by transforming or changing the wave frequencies into sound waves.
 	The data was collected by ESA’s Cluster mission made up of 4 spacecraft. These spacecraft orbit the Earth and study the Earth’s magnetic field.
 	According to researchers at ESA, the result sound more like the sound effects of a science fiction movie than a natural phenomenon.

Electromagnetic waves are usually 'humming' in the Earth’s magnetosphere when it's quiet. But they break into a song when hit by a solar storm. During this time the frequency of the wave is doubled or changes into several different frequencies.

Cluster collected these details when it flew into a region of magnetic field called the fore shock, the first region where the particles hit the magnetic field during solar storms.
