Munnar is a well-known town and hill station located in Kerala, India. Its pleasant and refreshing climate attracts lots of tourists in summer.

  • It lies in the Western Ghats and is surrounded by the natural beauty of the hills.
  • The highest peak of the Western Ghats called Anamudi Peak is found here.
  • The rolling hills are dotted with beautiful tea plantations.
  • It makes the place ideal for walking and trekking.

 

Munnar is famous for the wild Neelakurinchi orchids.

  • The shrub is also known as Kurinji.
  • It is a beautiful plant that blooms once in 12 years.
  • The entire valley turns blue and violet with these blooms.
  • The last time these flowers bloomed was in 2018.
