Q1 2022: Store Intelligence Data Digest report
According to the report by Sensor Tower’s report Q1 2022: Store Intelligence Data Digest report, TikTok is declared the top app by worldwide downloads mentioned in Q1 2022.
Previously, the app recorded 3.5 billion downloads in the first quarter of 2021. It became the fifth app to achieve this milestone.
Since the beginning of 2022, TikTok has been downloaded more than 175 million times. As per the reports, the social media platform has surpassed 10 million downloads for 9 quarters while the Youtube app has passed the same milestone for 8 quarters now.
No other apps have had more downloads than the TikTok app since the beginning of 2018.
Features of TikTok
The social media app is known for its trends, algorithms and diverse set of communities for every subject matter. The recent updates include:
- Interactive add-ons for the ads
- Private dislike button for buttons
- AR development platforms and more.
Although the TikTok app is banned in India, it is ranked third place overall in Asia. It was No. 1 in the App Store, yet in seventh place for Google Play in Asia.
It has been the top app in each quarter since Q1 2021. In the report for Q4 2020, Zoom beat Tiktok on the list. In Q1 2021, TikTok and YouTube have been the top apps on the US App Store in each quarter.
