Recommended for Foundational Grades
It is important to obey traffic signals. They help us know when to go and when to stop. But have you heard about a traffic stop for camels!
Yes, now, in China, even camels will have their own traffic stop. This is the world’s first traffic signal for camels.
The traffic signal is being used in an area near Dunhuang City. This city is located in the Gansu-Xinjiang desert region in China.
This area gets many tourists. They come to ride on camels and see the city. However, there are so many camels that sometimes, they have accidents.
Now, the traffic signal will help the camel drivers know when to stop and when to go.
Camels are known as the “ships of the desert“. They can live in the hot and dry weather of the desert. Camels are very commonly used to carry goods and people in desert regions.
