Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland is also a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site

Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland is also a UNESCO’s World Heritage SiteVatnajökull - That's a difficult name to pronounce!

This icy park is named after the largest glacier* in Europe which is found here.
 	This National Park was founded in 2008 by joining the Vatnajökull ice cap with two other national parks:

Skaftafell in south Iceland
 	Jökulsárgljúfur in the north

It has some of Iceland's greatest natural treasures and views created by rivers, glacial ice and volcanoes*
 	Tourists often climb Iceland's highest point, Hvannadalshnjukur, which is located at the southern edge of the glacier, to admire the view

This place is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This means that it is an important place for all of us across the world
 	This title remind us of the importance of protecting special places
 	India also has world heritage sites, and the most well known is Taj Mahal in Agra

*glaciers - huge masses of ice that “flow” like very slow rivers

*volcano - an opening in a mountain from which fire, smoke, melting rock and ash from inside the Earth comes out
