Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat solidifies her place among the best Indian wrestlers of all time. Vinesh is the first wrestler from India to win two medals at a world championship.

In 2019, Vinesh Phogat won her first medal at the World Championships in Nur-Sultan. It was a bronze medal. She will be the first Indian woman to win a medal in wrestling at the 53-kilogram weight class in Belgrade in 2022.
