Wales to plant a national forest that will cover whole country

Wales to plant a national forest that will cover whole countryWales is a European country that is part of the UK (United Kingdom). It is a small country with an area of 20,735 square km (For instance, Kerala in India is 38, 863 square km).

The Wales government is launching a new project which aims to build a national forest. This forest will run throughout the whole country!

This project aims to preserve nature, improve biodiversity, and reduce carbon from the atmosphere, among other goals.

How does Wales plan to achieve this goal?

Wales will plant trees on 2,000 hectares each year which will rise to 4,000 hectares per year as soon as they can.
 	To do this, they are getting all their citizens involved. Wales has a population of about 3 million and everyone will plant trees. Some school children have already started doing this.

The Wales government hopes that this project will also save existing forests and animals, stop flooding and improve air quality. It will also lead to an increase in tourism and improve people's moods.
