World’s first flying car receives its certificate of airworthiness.

Slovakian Transport Authority has given a certificate of its airworthiness to the world’s first flying car.

What is a flying car?

A flying car is a type of vehicle which can function both as a personal car and an aircraft.

The aircar was deployed in June, last year by the company KlienVision. It took off from a runway in Nitra city in Slovakia and landed in Bratislava. The journey lasted for 35 minutes.

The same process was repeated 200 times until the aviation authorities came to the conclusion that the aircar is safe and reliable.

Features of the AirCar

The AirCar can reach 100 mph on the road and 8,000 feet of altitude. It needs only 2 minutes and 15 seconds to deploy and store its wings.

The AirCar creator, Professor Stefan Klien said that the certification of the first AirCar will open the door for mass production of flying cars.

Klein Vision has said that they are looking forward to taking share out of the aircraft market with AirCar. You can watch this interesting video of the AirCar below.
