10th & 12th Board Exams start on 26th April
The Central Board of Secondary Exams (CBSE) will hold the term 2 examinations from 26th April 2022. The board held a webinar on 15th April to give necessary information to the students, so that the examinations could be conducted smoothly.
Due to COVID-19, the board exams were not conducted in the last two years. The results were based on tabulation. This is the first time that written exams are being conducted in 2 years.
Webinar before the board exams
The chairman of CBSE, Vineet Joshi said that it is important for all the schools to attend the webinar. This webinar explains to the attendees the skills of conducting exams.
This is the first time that the board has conducted exams in two terms for classes 10 and 12. CBSE has also revised the syllabus for classes 9 to 12 for the next academic session.
Over 35 lakh students will appear in the Board Exams starting on Tuesday, 26th April. The admit cards for the second term will be available on the site of CBSE. COVID precautions will also be followed at the exam centre.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it will pay Rs5 per candidate per day for the sanitization of the school. Also, it will pay for the arrangements of masks and sanitisers at the examination centre. CBSE will provide Rs 5,000 per centre to buy an infrared thermometer.
Guidelines for the students
The candidates should follow the following guidelines while taking the examination:
- Students should carry their admit cards and school ID cards to the exam centre.
- Follow the COVID-19 measures like wearing a mask and sanitizing yourself at the centre.
- The 10th and 12th term 2 examinations will be a two-hour paper, conducted from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
- The students will be given additional 20 minutes to read the examination papers.
