The World Health Organization (WHO) opened its Global Center for Traditional Medicine in India. Its goal is to unlock the power of traditional medicine by combining ancient practices with modern science. Worldwide Centre for Traditional Medicine!
- The Worldwide Centre for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar, Gujarat will showcase global traditions and current scientific achievements in traditional medicine.
- This will be done in a way that is accessible, eco-friendly, and participatory for the public.
- The Institute Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), a WHO Collaborating Centre and Institute of National Importance will host a temporary office while the new facility is being developed.
