Fall in love with Sharks!

Recommended for Foundational Grades

Sharks are one of the most feared and misunderstood marine animals. Zimy Da Kid came face to face with a Tiger Shark. The shark circled him and bit into his 360-degree camera. The shark eventually let the equipment go from its jaw.

This gave the filmmaker an interesting look inside the Shark’s mouth and throat. Zimy shared a small part of his close encounter with the Shark on social media.

Fun facts about sharks!

  • Sharks play a critical part in maintaining a healthy marine environment.
  • Marine Tourism is a way sharks benefit the local economy along the shore. To dive with sharks, many individuals are ready to pay a lot of money.
  • Sharks may be found in all of the world’s seas, from the shallows near the shoreline to the vast expanses of the deep blue.
  • As social animals, certain sharks are able to use their bodies as a form of communication, form groups, and even hunt in packs.
  • Humans are not a target for sharks. Bites or accidents caused by poor water vision account for the majority of “attacks” on people.
  • Sharks come in more than 500 varieties, but the white, tiger and bull sharks are the most common three.
