S.S Rajamouli’s RRR becomes global hit

S.S Rajamouli’s RRR (Rise, Roar, Revolt) is India’s third most successful film worldwide. Moreover, it is India’s most expensive film.

S.S Rajamouli is a renowned filmmaker in the South. Most of his movies are in Telugu. He has directed 12 films since he started making films in 2001. All his films are box office hits. These films are originally shot in Telugu while some of the movies were dubbed in other Indian languages. Ain’t it inspiring?

Rajamouli’s ambitions and budgets of the films have grown over time.  Also, the audience for South Indian films has increased. The Indian film industry is valued at $2.3bn and they are also the world’s largest producer of films.

Rajamouli has changed the trend of Indian cinema with his films like Eega, the Baahubali franchise, Pushpa and KGF.

About the film: Rise, Roar, Revolt (RRR)

Rise, Roat, Revolt (RRR) is made on a budget of $72 million, it was released on 25th March across 21 countries. RRR is a fictional epic of two real-life Indian revolutionaries who fought the British Raj. It is an action-adventure genre. The movie showcases India’s struggle against the British Raj and it is set in 1920.

The main characters of the movie are played by top Telugu actors – Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The movie also showcases the cast of British, Irish and American actors. Also, Rajamouli cast the two Bollywood stars, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn for the first time.

Within 4 weeks of its release, RRR has already earned $141m worldwide. S.S Rajamouli experiences joy with the success of RRR. He is thrilled that not only in India, but the viewers outside the country have praised the film and it is overwhelming for Rajamouli.
