Computer created perfumes are in market now

Computer created perfumes are in market nowIn recent days, we have been seen using AI (Artificial intelligence) in many fields.

Here is one more addition to it.

O Boticário, a leading beauty store in Brazil, has recently launched perfumes that were created by computers using AI.

It was done in collaboration with the computer company, IBM.

IBM has designed an AI system for fragrances, called Philyra.
 	A lot of information related to fragrances and perfumes was loaded into the system so that different combinations could be worked out.
 	Information about the kinds of smells most liked by men, women and different age group of people in different countries was fed into the system.
 	This information was given by Symrise, a German company specialising in making fragrances and flavors.

Symrise’s expert perfumer David Apel worked with Philyra to create the fragrances

Apel made a few tiny changes to improve the best fragrances designed by Philyra
 	Traditional method of creating perfume is done by a perfumer who spends 4 months to 1 year to create a fragrance
 	This process was faster than the traditional method

These new perfumes have hit the market from 12th June 2019.
