Elliott Tanner, 13-year old, gets his college degree in Physics

Elliott Tanner became a college graduate at the age of 13. He has recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics.

Elliott’s journey

Elliott resides in Minnesota with his parents. His parents said that the boy displayed remarkable language and math skills from the age of 3 years. They soon realised that the traditional education system is not fit for him.

His mother, Michelle Tanner said that Elliott was homeschooled and they tried to limit him to the regular curriculum. But, the boy ended up learning information quicker than his parents could teach him. He loved to spend his birthday money on books, instead of buying toys and games.

Degrees and future plans

Elliott Tanner graduated college at 11 years with an Associate of Science degree in Mathematics with a 4.0GPA in 2020.

The boy is currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota where he has graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and a Minor in Mathematics.

He has also been accepted into the PhD program for physics at the University of Minnesota to study High Energy Theoretical Physics.

Elliott loves to play board games with his family and hang out with his friends. Reading, travelling or listening to music are some of his hobbies.

Elliott still lives like a normal. Though they had to face criticism, it could not stop the boy. he loves to play with neighbourhood children.

Moreover, his acceptance in PhD depends on the fund that he could collect to pursue the PhD degree. Elliott’s GoFundME page has raised funds of more than $28,000 which will help him doing the first year of the PhD programme.
