An Indian woman, Shyja from Kerala sports a moustache. Shyja lives in Kannur district of Kerala. She would regularly get her eyebrows done but she never got her lip hair removed.

Flaunting the moustache

She decided to keep her moustache when it began to thicken, around 5 years ago. She has received appreciation for sporting a moustache and is also asked to remove the moustache.

She said that she feels beautiful with the moustache and she doesn’t feel like removing it. In recent years, many women have been choosing to go against the norm and accepted their facial hair.

Shyja believes that having a moustache makes her unique. She’s of the attitude that she does whatever she likes. Her family is very supportive of her decision to sport the moustache. But, of course, she’s been trolled for flaunting her moustache, but now, it doesn’t bother her anymore.

In 2016, body positivity campaigner, Harnaam Kaur became the youngest woman in the world to have a full beard according to Guinness World Records. She believes that it is important to love yourself.
