Longest-reigning British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, passes away at 96!

Recommended for Middle Grades

Queen Elizabeth II passes away at the age of 96. She was the British monarch who ruled for the longest time. She died in the comfort of her home in Scotland.

Her son, King Charles III, said that he and the rest of his family were in a “deep moment of sadness.” He thinks that the Royal Family will feel better knowing that the Queen was loved and respected by many people.

The Queen will be honoured, and then members of Parliament will take an oath to follow King Charles. There will be church bells and gun salutes.
