Tom & Jerry – The Favourite Cat & Mouse!

No matter what, at some point in your life, you must have watched Tom & Jerry. It is an American animated series of comedy short films. The series shows a love-hate relationship between the title characters Tom, a cat, and Jerry, a mouse.
Despite Tom’s clever tricks and intelligence, he rarely wins from Jerry. Also, Jerry is shown as having smart abilities and good luck. Tom uses axes, hammers, firecrackers, bombs, traps and poison to try and kill Jerry.
On the other hand, Jerry fights back by using tricks like shutting his head or fingers in a window or a door and kicking him into a refrigerator.
Fun facts about Tom and Jerry!
- Many times, Tom and Jerry have displayed real friendship and concern for each other.
- Generally, there is little dialogue as Tom and Jerry never speak much. However, there is always music going on in the background.
- It was created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. It continued until 27 September 2005.
- The characters Tom & Jerry were originally named Jasper and Jinx. Later, a contest was held to name the characters.
- The series was really liked by the audience and it also won 7 Oscars, also known as Academy Awards.
- Tom has bushy, knitted eyebrows with grey-colour fur on the body. He also has sharper ears, a longer tail, and chubby cheeks.
- Jerry is a cute rat with bigger ears and sweet facial features.
