Cyber Safety Heroes: A Comic Adventure
Do you know what online safety is? So, let me explain it through a story. Welcome to the world of the internet.
Sonu and Monu were best friends. Monu was a very obedient child. He always listened to his parents, teachers and elder’s advice. Sonu on the other hand was a very disobedient child. He never listened to his parents or elders’ advice.
Due to Corona pandemic, children were not able to go to school and had to attend online classes. So even Sonu and Monu also had to attend online classes.
One day when online classes were going on Sonu left the class and started to play online games.
Suddenly a pop-up message was displayed on the screen. It was a beautiful car. Sonu pressed the message. In the pop-up message, they had asked Sonu to enter some personal details of his father like his name, address etc. Sonu without thinking twice entered all the details. He informed the same to his friend Monu.
Monu was an intelligent boy who was aware of online safety rules. He told this to his parents quickly. Monu’s parents immediately informed Sonu’s parents.
Sonu’s parents went to his room and instead of scolding him, they explained to him some rules of online safety.
- Never share personal details on the internet.
- Do not share your password.
- Always take elders’ permission while using the internet.
- Don’t press any pop up messages.
- Never make friends with strangers through the internet.
- Tell your parents if you feel uncomfortable about anything while using the Internet.
Sonu listened to his parent’s advice wisely and he promised he will never press any pop up messages without the elder’s permission.
So my dear friends we should always follow these online safety rules while using internet. Be safe and be wise.
