Rafael Nadal enters the semi finals of the 2020 French OpenThe 2020 French Open (or Roland-Garros) is a Grand Slam tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It is held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. It started on 27 September and will end on 11 October.

The 2020 French Open is the 124th edition of the French Open. It is also the last Grand Slam event of 2020.

French Open Men's Singles Update

Rafael Nadal is a twelve-time and the defending champion in men's singles.
 	Rafael Nadal beat Jannik Sinner to go through to the semi-finals. He will face Diego Schwartzman in the semi-finals.
 	Tonight, two more matches will be held for the other semi-final spots. Andrey Rublev will play against Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic will play against Pablo Carreño Busta.

French Open Women's Singles Update

Ashleigh Barty was the defending champion in women's singles. She chose not to play in the tournament.
 	In women's singles, Martina Trevisan is through to the semi-finals. She will face Nadia Podoroska. 
 	Podoroska made history at the French Open by becoming the first-ever qualifier to reach the women's singles semifinals. A qualifier is a player outside of the top rankings who secures their position in the main tournament through a qualifying tournament.
 	Serena Williams had to withdraw in the second round due to injury.
 	Currently, only Sofia Kenin and Petra Kvitova are the only seeds (ranked) players left.
