ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 starts todayThe 12th ICC (International Cricket Council) Cricket World Cup starts today, 30th May 2019.

It will be played from 30th May to 14th July 2019, in England and Wales.

The first match will be played between England and South Africa at The Oval.

About the tournament

10 teams will be playing in this tournament - South Africa, India, Australia, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, West Indies.
 	The format for the tournament will be a single group of 10 teams, with each team playing the other nine once each, and the top four at the end of the group phase progressing to the semi-finals.
 	The final match will be played at Lord's Cricket Ground.
 	16 umpires have been selected for the world cup.

The ICC Cricket World Cup is the international championship of One Day International (ODI) cricket. The event is organised by the sport's governing body, the (ICC), every four years. The tournament is one of the world's most viewed sporting events.

It will be aired on Star Sports and Hotstar in India.

Most of the matches will start at 10.30 am (UK time) and 3 pm (IST). The day-night matches will start at 1.30 pm (UK time) and 6 pm (IST).
