My Expressions

Curious Times in conversation with Banhi Bhattacharya

I am Banhi Bhattacharya. I am a post graduate in English(MA) and B.Ed. I have 19 years experience in teaching.

My hobbies are travelling and listening to music. My skills are oral and written communication skills, teamwork and collaboration. I am disciplined, punctual, hardworking and have patience. I like about myself – curious, balanced and do not like to copy others.

What inspired you to become an educator?

Being a teacher always helps us to learn new things. My Grade VI teacher in my school inspired me to become a teacher.

What do you love the most about being a teacher?

Teaching gives us the opportunity to learn, unlearn and relearn. It keeps us updated with the latest educational policies where children can be benefitted.

The one change you would like to bring in the current education system.

Education should be based on skills and should be innovative in the current education system. Rote Learning should not be emphasized.

Your message to your 21st-Century-students.

The children should follow their dreams and choose their profession according to their passions.
