My Expressions

Curious Times in conversation with Rajshree Sikdar

I have done my Masters in History and B.Ed from Calcutta University. Presently, I am working as an Asst. Teacher of Social Science at Techno India Group Public School, Garia.

In my leisure hours, I love to listen to old melodies and spend quality time with my family members. Also, I love preparing lip smacking delicacies during the weekends and sharing it with with my family gives me a lot of pleasure.

What inspired you to become an educator?

Right from my childhood, I used to adore my teachers. They have always inspired me and they have contributed a lot in moulding me to become a true human being and an ideal educator.

What do you love the most about being a teacher?

Being an educator, I feel that this is the only profession which helps in shaping the future generations. The priceless love of my students gives me the zeal and energy to work hard and be a better version of myself.

The one change you would like to bring in the current education system.

I feel that school students should be evaluated on grades up to a certain level, rather than evaluating on individual marks. This would help in strengthening peer relationships and encourage a healthy competition among the learners.

Your message to your 21st-Century-students.

Dear students, you all are the minerals which have been dug out from Earth. Polishing your talents and nurturing your dreams will bring out the gems from within yourself.

A special story, memory or message that you want to share.

Once we share, live and grow together. we can win over any hurdle that comes in our way.
