Syed Modi International Title : Three cheers for PV Sindhu

Syed Modi International Title – Sindhu is a champion!

What an amazing victory by our very own PV Sindhu at the Syed Modi International Title! As she beat Malvika Bansod in Badminton, it was no less than a shock to her opponent. For the longest time ever her opponent had no idea what had just happened. The feeling of victory is as glorious and bright as the rising sun.

Ace-ahead!

Keep in the mind the win of the badminton game was in straight sets of 21-13, 21-16, against Malvika Bansod. We think the  “City of Nawabs” felt the tremors of joy from his win. The prize winner for the title gets a cool crore :-).  Did our readers read that right? I hope you did. It pays to have a sports women’s spirit. And if you think Cricket is the only sport that is rewarding, think again!

A pearl from our “City of Pearls”

PV Sindhu is from our very own “City of Pearls – Hyderabad” needs no introduction when it comes to sports. Her parents are former Volleyball players and her sister is a national level handball player. Her father was awarded the Arjuna Award for his contribution to sports. No wonder her father is PV Sindhu’s guiding light and gives her tremendous, support and direction as “Lord Krishna”.  One can only imagine the pride and smile PV Sindhu manages to get on her family. She truly represents a “Pearl” in the City of Pearls.

At Curious Times we wish PV Sindhu nothing but the best and many more victories for the road that lies ahead.

For our curious readers, here’s a short video of PV Sindhu right after her glorious win. The video is taken from Twitter@Pvsindhu
