Valley of Kashmir gets its first Igloo Cafe

One of the most beautiful must-see places in India, Kashmir gets a snow cafe. The cafe named “Snowglu” is fast becoming a popular tourist destination site. It is located at a popular ski resort of Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir. The creator of Snowglu claims that it is the world’s largest snow cafe.

Hard work and determination

Syed Wasim Shah, creator of the igloo was inspired by a similar concept in Switzerland. He and his team of 25 worked hard day and night for nearly 2 months, working in shifts to give shape to Syed’s dream. The snow cafe stands tall at a height of 37.5 feet and with a foundation of nearly 44 feet, Syed claims this is the world’s biggest snow cafe.

Tourists and locals have nothing but good things to say about the Igloo Cafe. The cafe provides a seating capacity for nearly 40 people. The cafe’s decor and wall carvings are beautiful and the sight takes one’s breath away. The seating is comfortable and warm with sheepskin used as seat covers. There is a staircase as well which divides the cafe into two floors. The cafe will be open to the public till March 15.
