‘Pushpa: The Rise’ at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards!

The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 was held on 20 February. The event was spectacular and filled with glamour. ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards is named “Film of the Year”. 

Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Dadasaheb Phalke Award is Indian cinema’s highest award, instituted in 1969. It is named after Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, the Father of Indian cinema. The award includes a Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus) medallion, a shawl, and a cash prize of Rs 10,00,000.

Pushpa: The Rise 

‘Pushpa: The Rise,’ an action-comedy. The movie has received a lot of positive feedback. Rashmika Mandanna plays the lead in the film. The movie stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj in the lead role.

The movie revolves around red sandalwood traffickers and the police. Furthermore, it is action-packed with a lot of style. Throughout the movie, viewers are treated to beautiful slow-motion shots in the Seshachalam jungles of South India. Above all, Pushpa’s international box office success is a new milestone in Allu Arjun’s film career.

On Amazon Prime Video, the Hindi version of the film made its premiere. Following the success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ across India, Allu Arjun is gearing up for the sequel, ‘Pushpa: The Rule.’

Notable winners

The movie “Shershaah” won the Best Film award. In addition, Ranveer Singh was awarded Best Actor for his performance in the film 83. Also, Kriti Sanon won the Best Actress award for her role in “Bareilly Ki Barfi”.
