Air India flight, A-267 was welcomed with a water cannon salute at Maldives airport. The aircraft was welcomed to celebrate 46 years of air service between India and the Maldives.

Amidst the COVID pandemic, the air bubble arrangement continues between India and the Maldives. The transport bubbles are temporary arrangements between two countries for resuming passenger services.
Air India shared a video clip of a water cannon salute on Twitter. The clip shows water propelling from opposite sites while the aircraft moves on the runway. The video clip has been viewed more than 2,000 times on Twitter.
