Sabudana or Sago Kichdi in just 5 simple steps!!

Maharashtra famous sabudana/sago kichdi [Fasting special]

Ingredients –
1. Sago
2. Roasted peanuts powder [coarse] 3. Green chili
4. Cumin seeds
5. Ghee
6. Salt
7. Sugar
8. Lime juice

Procedure –
1.Wash Sago 2-3 times. Let it soak in water for 15 min and drain out the excess water and let the sag stand for at least 2 hours.
2.Add half the quantity of peanut powder, little sugar and salt and mix well.
3. Now in a kadhai add ghee, chopped green chilies and cumin seeds.
4. After cumin seeds start spluttering add the prepared sago mixture and mix well.
5. Cover the kadhai and let the sago cook well on low flame.

In 12-15 min, the sago is cooked and is soft and translucent. For better flavour add lime juice and mix well. Done! Ready to serve.

Tip – Eat it with sago papad . Enjoy the crunchy and tasty delicacy!
