Heavy rains return to Mumbai

Heavy rains return to MumbaiOnce again heavy rains brought life in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a slow down on Monday 8th July.

Just last week, on 2nd July, thousands of people found themselves struggling in knee-deep water after the heaviest rainfall in last few years
 	The Indian weather monitoring office, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), has predicted continued rains in the coming days
 	Water logging and flooding has hit rail, road and air traffic services
 	People are struggling to get around for their daily work
 	Many have been injured and killed due to rain related accidents

Warning

Authorities have asked people to take precautions and be careful in this situation
 	The IMD has warned fishermen not to go into the Arabian Sea as it will be very rough with high wind speeds and waves till Friday

Experts believe that rapid unplanned development, climate change and increasing plastic waste and garbage (which block drains) add to this difficult situation that Mumbai faces every monsoon season.
