My Expressions

Curious Times in conversation with Banashree Chandra

I am a postgraduate in Zoology. I have an experience of 7 years as a Science and Biology Educator.

I am a wanderlust and a foodie. I am an avid reader of Science Magazines and I love doodling in my free time.  I am passionate about gaining knowledge and sharing it with everyone. I am persistent by nature and a good orator.

What inspired you to become an educator?

My educators have inspired me to opt for the noble profession of teaching.

What do you love the most about being a teacher?

I love interacting with children and sharing my knowledge with them. I love to discover common scientific interests with the students and help them explore the subject by sharing my ideas with them.

The one change you would like to bring in the current education system.

I would like to introduce hands-on teaching. I'd like to focus on overall holistic growth of children, instead of focusing on the current lengthy curriculum.

Your message to your 21st-Century-students.

I would like to tell my students that technology is a key to broaden your horizons. Use it wisely for your betterment. Have a compassionate heart and always try to learn new things.

A special story, memory or message that you want to share.

A person who has good thoughts can never be ugly. A person can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth, but if you have good thoughts, you will shine like sunbeams and will look pretty always.
