What inspired you to become an educator?

The best reason to be an educator is that you have a positive and inspiring impact on children's life. Being an educator, you get to learn many things from your students as well.

What do you love the most about being a teacher?

I love my job and I get a great sense of achievement when I see my students evolve in a better way. I love interact and learn new things from my students.

The one change you would like to bring in the current education system.

The most important thing that I'd like to improve all subjects in the current education system. We should give equal respect to all the subjects. We should introduce the students to new technologies. We should make funding school, a priority in the education system. The syllabus must be relevant and updated.

Your message to your 21st-Century-students.

Teachers should help students to learn something new. It's very inspiring, creative, encouraging in order to boost the students' morale. In 21st century, students need creative ideas and informations regarding all the subjects, and an educator must help them to and share all their knowledge.

A special story, memory or message that you want to share.

In the year 2009, I was Incharge of 10th Class. There were about 37 students in my class amongst which 10 students got merit and 5 students got positions in their 10 class board result. This moment was one of the happiest moments of my life. Two students of my class, Shilpa and Pooja got first and third position in Punjab 10th class board exams. I can't forget them because they brought laurels to the school. When I was honoured with the award of best teacher, then I came to realize that I deserve to be the best teacher.
