Curious Times in conversation with Latika
Myself Latika, I have 10 years of experience in Teaching. Teaching is a major tool for every country. Apart from teaching, I love to do theatre.
Theatre is the hobby which I developed in the teaching profession only. Dancing and surfing net on different monuments and temples is my favourite hobby.
What inspired you to become an educator?
It's the only work which makes you feel connected with the world. As a teacher, we are not dealing with files, but we are communicating with children and sharing different thoughts with each other.
What do you love the most about being a teacher?
Teaching is a very lively profession. Every day is different from the other, so, you never feel bored. Teaching means celebrating each day.
The one change you would like to bring in the current education system.
I don't want to change anything. I would like to add "Meditation" as an important part of our education system.
Your message to your 21st-Century-students.
Keep yourself calm.
All is well.
A special story, memory or message that you want to share.
When I started teaching, there was a student in my class. She was 5 years old and I blessed her "Beta, apne mumma papa ka naam roshan karna." The girl agreed but she didn't know the meaning of "roshan" She asked her mother about it and her mother explained. Next day, when she came to school she said to me " Ma'am, main aapka bhi naam roshan karungi." This made me emotional.
