Handmade Rakhi: A Kids’ Craft for Raksha Bandhan

Oh, to be young again and crafting such wonders! Ahamteertwaa Maity, from the bustling heart of Kolkata, has truly captured the spirit of Raksha Bandhan with this radiant, handmade Rakhi. It’s a testament to the ingenuity and creativity that blossoms in the hearts of our young ones.

This Rakhi, a vibrant flower bursting with glitter and love, is a testament to the joy and skill that kids’ craft can bring. Each petal, carefully shaped and adorned, whispers of the bond between siblings – a bond as bright and enduring as the colours on this beautiful creation. It’s a sparkling reminder of the magic that unfolds when young hands and hearts come together to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.

Glitter Rakhi: A Shining Symbol of Sibling Love

Fashioning Your Own Glittering Rakhi:

Even the youngest crafters can try their hand at making a Rakhi as splendid as this one. Gather your supplies and let the spirit of Raksha Bandhan guide your creativity!

What You’ll Need:
  • Coloured craft foam or felt
  • Glitter (various colours)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • A small button or bead
  • Thread or ribbon
How to Make It:
  1. Cut out several petal shapes from the foam or felt.
  2. Generously apply glue to each petal and sprinkle with glitter. Let it dry completely.
  3. Arrange the petals in a circular pattern, overlapping slightly. Glue them together at the centre.
  4. Glue the button or bead in the middle of the flower.
  5. Attach a thread or ribbon to the back of the Rakhi.
