Ministry of Tourism establish YUVA tourism clubs
Ministry of Tourism has established YUVA Tourism Clubs as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has come forward to support the initiative by the Ministry of Tourism. They have issued instructions to all the CBSE affiliated schools to form YUVA Tourism Clubs.
Tourism Minister, G Kishan Reddy said that the youth are the best ambassadors of India and its cultural, spiritual and natural heritage. The YUVA Tourism clubs will promote the PM’s vision “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat“.
Efforts by the Ministry of Tourism
The Ministry of Tourism has shared a book Handbook for schools for conducting Tourism Clubs. The book contains the purposes of the club and the strategies that will be used to run the club along with specific guidelines for conducting activities.
The activities proposed in the handbook are just suggestions. The teachers are allowed to incorporate different activities under EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) programme. The activities include online or e-tourism, pan pals in the paired states and Union territories, and exposure to the diversity and natural resources of India.
Importance of YUVA Tourism Clubs
YUVA Tourism clubs will help in nurturing young ambassadors of Indian tourism. The young children will promote tourism in India under the clubs. They will be able to appreciate the culture and liking for tourism. Participation in the Tourism clubs will help the children to develop the skills like teamwork, management and leadership. Moreover, they will learn about tourism practices and the ways to make it more flourished in the country.
These clubs will help in making people aware of tourism possibilities in India. The clubs will help the learners to appreciate the importance of travel. It is established to make the people understand the value of tourism. Tourism clubs will teach tourism practices to young learners. It will help in improving physical and mental health through adventure and sports tourism.
The YUVA Tourism Clubs will encourage learners to become skilled professionals in the tourism sector.
