Anjum Moudgil makes India proud at Shooting World Cup!

Anjum Moudgil took a bronze medal at the 2022 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Shooting World Cup. She participated in the women’s 50-meter rifle competition.

What is International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF)?

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is in charge of the rifle, pistol, and similar shooting events. It is also in charge of organising international competitions such as the ISSF World Cup.

How is shooting scored?

When a player’s shots are more accurate, he/she will obtain a greater number of points. The bull’s-eye receives the most points, whereas the outside rings receive progressively fewer points with each successive ring.

Highlights from ISSF Shooting World Cup 2022!

  • The ISSF Shooting World Cup 2022 started in February 2022 and will conclude on July 22.
  • There are seven stages of the Shooting World Cup.
  • Shooters from all over the world compete for medals in rifle, pistol, and shotgun competitions.
  • The first stage was held in Cairo, Egypt and the last stage 7, in Changwon, South Korea.
  • Indian shooters started the 2022 ISSF World Cup with 4 golds, 2 silvers, and 1 bronze in Cairo. Their final medals total stands at 29.
  • This is the second medal for Anjum Moudgil. At Stage 6 of the competition, she won a Silver for India.
