AroundMeBD – Villagers’ happy cooking times!

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

Cooking tutorials are in their prime. That being said, not every video is created equal. In some cases, the recipes are terrible, the camera work is shaky, and the “hubby”-obsessed personalities are all over the place in the videos they produce. However, let’s introduce our little readers to “AroundMeBD“. They love cooking traditional Bangladeshi dishes in different ways.

About AroundMeBD

In 2017, a young man (‘Liton Ali’) from a village in Bangladesh started a YouTube channel. He was living in Dhaka at the time. He didn’t have a camera, no editing skills, and nothing else. In any case, he wanted to make videos with his phone’s built-in video recorder.

Purpose

For the most part, their channel focuses on cooking. More than 1.9 million people follow them on YouTube. In addition, they also do volunteer work in their village community. Above all, their main aim is to make the people happy and share happiness with them through their cooking.

Success

For the most part, the money from the channel is used to buy cooking ingredients and pay the people in the village who work on this project. Thus, the YouTube channel Liton started for fun has turned into a good source of money for many people now. Liton also encouraged other people to start their own YouTube channels.

In their village, the channels’ creators also make fun toys for kids. They have also helped the people in the village who were sick and helped some people build their homes.

At the heart of what they want to do is make people all over the world aware of Bangladesh’s culture.
