T20 cricket matches are currently being played in Dubai and Sharjah for the 2022 Asia Cup. The competitions will be held between August 27 and September 11.

The six teams are divided in half. Afghanistan, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are all involved. Teams from both brackets will compete against one another.

The two best teams in each bracket advance to the Super 4s. This new round of competition, known as “Super 4”, features four teams. The top two teams in each of the Super 4 groups will then move on to the finals.

On September 11, 2022, the championship game will be played.

India is still in contention for the Asia Cup despite suffering their second loss during the Super Four stage. They have to win against Afghanistan by the most convincing margin possible.

The Lankans have a guaranteed spot in the championship game with three victories in a row, while the other three teams will need just one victory each to advance.

• Sri Lanka showed that they had no shortage of brilliant players.
• They were led with the ball by Dilshan Madushanka, who took three wickets for twenty-four runs.
• The Lankans were well supported by Chamika Karunaratne and Maheesh Theekshana.
• Rohit Sharma scored 72 runs off of 41 balls, while the other players only managed 93 runs off of 79.
• Sri Lanka dragged India back at the end of the game by only allowing 38 runs in the final four overs.
• Openers Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka appeared to have a good chance of winning the chase easily.
• Yuzvendra Chahal and R.Ashwin took four wickets for a total of 13 runs, bringing the score up to 64 out of 35.
• Nevertheless, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and captain Dasun Shanaka led them to a dramatic victory that brought them home.
