Did you ever wonder what are the best places to travel? Well, read on to find out!

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, travel has been stopped. Many people’s planned holidays did not happen.

So, in the hope that things will be back to normal next year, National Geographic has come up with the Best of the World 2021 list, that lists the best places to travel.

This is a list of the top and best places to travel in the world according to National Geographic. This year, the theme of the list is “Dream Now, Go Later”.

The list has 35 amazing places to inspire future post-pandemic journeys. They are divided into five categories: sustainability, nature and wildlife, adventure, culture and history, and family travel.

What are some of the places included in the list?

Under the sustainability category, you can visit Alonissos in Greece. This place has a new underwater museum which has the remains of a 2500-year-old shipwreck.

If you want adventure, then, you can visit Katmai National Park & Preserve in Alaska, US where you can find many brown bears.

For culture and history, you can visit Gyeongju in South Korea. This is an ancient capital that has so many historical items that it’s known as “the museum without walls“.

If you want to travel with your family, then you can visit Transylvania in Romania. This region is the setting for the famous novel, Dracula, by Irish author Bram Stoker.
