Bharti Airtel launches new 1Gbps fibre-optic broadband service

Bharti Airtel launches new 1Gbps fibre-optic broadband serviceToday, Bharti Airtel launched its new broadband service, ‘Airtel Xstream Fibre’.

It promises 1Gbps (Gigabits per second) speed for ₹3,999 a month. The competition in the broadband market has really increased with Reliance also introducing Jiofiber recently.

Airtel Xstream Fibre is available for homes, SOHO (Small Office Home Office) and small commercial establishments.
 	It is currently available in  Chennai, Mumbai, Indore, Delhi NCR, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. They will add more cities later.
 	The scheme also includes unlimited landline calls to any network in India.
 	It will also have 'Airtel Thanks' benefits like a three-month subscription to Netflix, one year Amazon Prime membership and access to premium content from ZEE5 and Airtel Xstream app.

Reliance’s JioFiber offers a minimum internet speed of 100 Mbps (Megabits per second) for ₹699 a month. It also offers free voice calling within India, 4K set-top box, and a free 4K TV for some higher paying subscribers.
